BRODY
So, I am going to try this and try to keep up with it. I would love to document Brody's milestones and all the amazing things he experiences, sees, and does throughout his life. God blessed us beyond measure when we got Brody and he is our pride and joy. I am already 8 months behind :/ *eeeeee* on this, but I will do a brief synopsis and hopefully keep up from here on out.Brody came into our life on March 12, 2011, 12:57 AM, at Gwinnett Medical. From the start he has sort of had a bumpy ride. He came into this world without complications, but since then has experienced jaundice, acid reflux, phlagiocipholy (sp?), torticollis, an ear infection, and breathing treatments. Despite that seeming like a long list of issues, it is nothing compared to what other babies go through and he has been a trooper through it all. Let's quickly go over his milestones:
2 months = sleeping through the night
4 months = holding head up, solid foods
6 months = rolling
7 months = 2 teeth/sitting
Parenthood has had its fair shares of troubles. Initially, the frustration was no sleep. But I think the biggest frustration was feeding. Did any other mommy's out there find this to be the most difficult part? I tried and tried and he would latch, but production did not come easily for me. Very stressful! Now I struggle with constantly worrying that he is not developing the way he should or that I am doing something wrong or even worse...that something will happen to him. I guess this will never go away and it is just all a part of the journey.
I hope through this blog, I will be able to remember all the good, the bad, and the ugly. Life is not perfect. We will have our struggles and our triumphs as parents, but I hope that Brody develops a love for Christ and find comfort in him. May God guide us down a path of parenting that will foster that love. This is just the start and I look forward to much more to come. So let me finish my first blog by saying a special message to my baby boy....
Brody,
I love you forever. I'll like you always. Always, forever my baby you'll be!
